Managed IT Services for McKinney Businesses
An IT problem rarely stays in one place. An employee cannot reach an application, the internet provider says the circuit is working, and the software vendor says to call IT. Meanwhile, work stops.
48 Technologies provides ongoing managed IT for businesses in McKinney and across Dallas–Fort Worth. We look after covered users and systems, coordinate the technology they depend on, and make responsibilities clear before a problem turns into a round of finger-pointing.
Know what has to keep working
Start with the work your employees do. They may need Microsoft 365, a line-of-business application, shared files, a printer, or an office network. When access fails, support is easier when someone knows which device, account, service, network component, and outside vendor is involved.
What is affected, for whom, and on which covered computer?
Can the user sign in, and who administers the service?
Is the issue local, upstream, or with an outside vendor?
The managed IT agreement identifies covered users, computers, listed network equipment, and routine work. If a server, specialized workstation, or critical application needs additional coverage, we discuss that explicitly rather than discovering the gap during an outage.
Backup is a recovery question, not a checkbox
A useful discussion covers which data and workloads are protected, who can request a restore, how long data is kept, and what the business would do if a device, mailbox, server, or application became unavailable.
The standard fully managed package includes Microsoft 365 backup licensing and routine restore assistance for covered users within the agreed scope. That does not mean every system is protected by the same service.
Identity controls, endpoint protection, patching, email security, network management, and backup reduce different risks. None guarantees uptime or replaces a recovery plan that fits your actual environment.
Microsoft 365 backup
Backup licensing and routine restore assistance for covered users, subject to agreed workloads, retention, and restore scope.
Other recovery needs
Workstation and server backups, physical or virtual server management, and substantial recovery or remediation projects.
When more than one provider is involved
Your business may rely on an internet carrier, a cloud application, a phone provider, a copier vendor, and someone who manages Microsoft 365. A recurring problem can move among them without a clear owner.
We coordinate relevant vendors on covered issues and document what each party controls, so your team does not have to rebuild the same explanation with every call. If the current MSP is not resolving those handoffs, we can review administrative access, documentation, and open issues before defining a transition.
Standard onboarding differs from a migration or substantial cleanup, which needs its own scope. If your internal IT contact already owns part of the environment, a co-managed arrangement may assign responsibilities more effectively.
- Who administers each system?
- Who contacts the outside vendor?
- What is covered by ongoing support?
- What needs a separate project?
Different work, different dependencies
The McKinney Community Development Corporation describes a local economy that includes healthcare, advanced manufacturing, and technology. These are examples of operating contexts, not claims that any named organization in those sectors is a 48 Technologies client.
A medical office may depend on access to scheduling and clinical systems. A manufacturer may need clarity about which office computers, network equipment, and specialized systems are covered. A professional or technology team may depend on Microsoft 365 and applications used across locations. The first conversation is about your actual environment, not a city-specific technology package.
Support and onsite work with clear terms
McKinney is in our Dallas–Fort Worth service area. The published fully managed package includes remote support for covered users and systems Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central, excluding holidays.
Routine onsite support is scheduled by appointment during business hours, with two onsite labor hours per client per month and no additional travel charge within the Dallas–Fort Worth service area. The allowance is per client, not per office.
Extra onsite labor needs approval and is billed separately. Projects are outside the allowance, unused hours do not roll over, and after-hours emergency work is separately billable and subject to availability. We do not promise staffed 24/7 coverage, same-day dispatch, or an unagreed recovery time.
See the managed IT terms and Dallas–Fort Worth pricing guide for the published boundaries and budget context.

Questions from McKinney businesses
Will managed IT cover our servers and every backup?
Not automatically. The standard package includes the defined Microsoft 365 backup service for covered users. Server management and workstation or server backups need a separate assessment and quote. We identify important systems before agreeing on coverage.
Who contacts the internet or software provider when employees cannot work?
We coordinate with relevant vendors on problems affecting covered systems. The agreement defines what we administer and what remains with the outside provider. A larger replacement or integration is scoped separately.
Can we keep an internal IT person?
Yes. We can discuss co-managed IT with an explicit division of responsibilities. It is a separate arrangement, not an automatic inclusion of every fully managed service.
Tell us what cannot keep breaking
Tell us which systems employees rely on, where support gets stuck, and what your current provider or internal team is expected to own. We can discuss whether managed IT, co-managed support, or a defined cleanup and recovery project is the right starting point.
